A woman from Perth has met her tragic end, as her partner remains under police custody after allegedly stabbing her to death in front of their daughters.
Emmerick Lasakar, 35, passed away at Royal Perth Hospital after sustaining severe injuries at her residence on Knutsford Avenue in Kewdale.
According to the authorities, the mother of two was subjected to physical assault and stabbing, prompting her family members to desperately attempt to save her.
Witnesses reported hearing screams emanating from the house shortly after 8 p.m.
In court, her 37-year-old partner, Steven Dean, admitted to murdering her at their Perth home, followed by robbing a service station and crashing his utility vehicle. Steven James Alan Dean, aged 37, pleaded guilty at the Perth Magistrates Court
Dean also pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated armed robbery, aggravated home burglary, and reckless driving, all allegedly committed on the same day. The armed robbery charge is related to an incident at a service station in nearby East Victoria Park.
Dean has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the same court for mention on August 28.
