A teenage boy's tragic death in Lancashire has led to the arrest and charging of a 28-year-old man on murder charges.
The victim, 15-year-old Dylan Bragger, was fatally stabbed in Skelmersdale, near Wigan, on a Thursday night.
Felipe Figueiredo, a resident of the same town, appeared before Preston Magistrates' Court on Saturday, facing the murder charge. His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, 4th July 2023, at Preston Crown Court.
In a heartfelt statement released through the police, Dylan's family expressed their devastation.
They described him as having a "heart of gold," a gentle giant who was loved by many.
The family struggled to find words to express their grief, stating that Dylan's infectious smile would brighten any room and that his bear hugs could uplift anyone's spirits.
They emphasized that Dylan, a 15-year-old with dreams of becoming a car mechanic, did not deserve this tragedy and had a promising future ahead of him.
The family shared the pain of having a permanent hole in their hearts and acknowledged that no amount of words could alleviate their suffering.
They concluded their statement with an everlasting declaration of love for Dylan.
Authorities responded to a report of a stabbing on Digmoor Road at approximately 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, Dylan could not be saved and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
