Jilted Lover's Revenge: Ex-Boyfriend Murders and Buries His Nursing Student Girlfriend Alive In An Act Of Vengeance

In a disturbing case of vengeance, a nursing student in Australia, Jasmeen Kaur, was tragically abducted and buried alive by her jilted ex-boyfriend, Tarikjot Singh, according to court proceedings. Singh, who pleaded guilty to the murder, revealed horrifying details of his crime during sentencing submissions at the Supreme Court.

On March 5, Jasmeen was abducted from her workplace in Adelaide and transported over 400 miles while bound with cable ties in the trunk of a car borrowed by Singh from his flatmate. Singh then inflicted superficial cuts on Jasmeen's throat before burying her in a shallow grave.

Although the neck injuries were not immediately fatal, Jasmeen was aware of her surroundings until her death on March 6.

Prosecutor Carmen Matteo described the murder as a prolonged act of cruelty, stating that Jasmeen experienced unimaginable terror while breathing in soil and succumbing to her fate.

Jasmeen Kaur (Victim)

Jasmeen's family, including her mother, was present in court during the sentencing submissions. It was revealed that the murder occurred one month after Jasmeen had reported Singh to the police for stalking, highlighting the escalation of his dangerous obsession.

Singh meticulously planned the killing as an act of revenge, unable to accept the end of their relationship.

Ms. Matteo emphasized the unusual level of cruelty involved in Jasmeen's murder, as the specific timing of her throat being cut, her placement in the burial grave, and the preparation of the grave remained unclear.

Tarikjot Singh (Suspect)

Throughout the lead-up to Jasmeen's death, Singh wrote multiple messages expressing his intentions, although he ultimately never sent them. One of the messages conveyed a sense of impending retaliation and vindication.

Singh initially denied the murder, falsely claiming that Jasmeen had taken her own life and that he had buried her body. However, officers were able to uncover evidence at the burial site, including Jasmeen's belongings and looped cable ties, leading to Singh's eventual admission of guilt.

In court, Singh was informed that he would be sentenced to life imprisonment for his horrific crime
