Man, Lenue Moore Apprehended For allegedly Killing His Neighbor, Her Friend, And Their Dog During a Dispute
In a month-long hunt, police nabbed 31-year-old Lenue Moore, accused of shooting Jackie Billini, her pitbull Zeus, and her friend Levaughn Harvin in New York City. The tragic incident took place near 165th Street in Washington Heights on September 29, following a long-standing dispute over Billini's barking pitbulls.
Moore now faces a slew of charges, including murder, criminal possession of a weapon, aggravated criminal contempt, and aggravated cruelty to animals in connection with the September shooting. The New York Police Department (NYPD) disclosed this information.
The dispute between Moore and Billini had been brewing for months, primarily due to the noise from her apartment, attributed to her pitbulls.
According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, Moore had even broken into her apartment, causing injuries to her and a female companion. Billini secured an order of protection against him following his arrest, barring him from approaching or contacting her.
Billini, fearing for her safety after Moore's release on bail, often had her friend Harvin accompany her when walking her dog. Kenny revealed, "The male victim, Mr. Harvin, was actually helping her walk the dogs because she was in fear for her life because of this guy."
On the evening of the shooting, around 6:30 p.m., Moore, dressed in black and wearing a mask, allegedly approached Billini, Harvin, and her dog and fired at least six shots, as reported by the NY Post.
Jackie Billini was described as a selfless, loving, and beautiful person by her nephew Carlos. She was known for her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and compassionate nature.
A GoFundMe has been set up to raise funds for her funeral, highlighting her unwavering support and love for friends and family, leaving a lasting void in their lives.
