Killaboi's Run Ends in Sierra Leone; Faces Extradition for The Murder Of His Girlfriend, Augusta Osedion

A Nigerian, Nnanyerugo Best, famously known as Killaboi, has been arrested in Sierra Leone for the tragic killing of his girlfriend, Augusta Osedion. In July 2023, Killaboi admitted to the murder on Instagram, indicating his willingness to surrender to the authorities. 

However, he evaded capture and fled Nigeria.

Earlier this month, the Nigerian police issued a wanted notice for him.

When interviewed by the press, the victim's mother declined to comment extensively, emphasizing her desire not to hinder the ongoing police investigation. She stated, "I prefer to keep a low profile concerning the matter as I'm actively working on locating him for arrest."

Killaboi was apprehended in Sierra Leone, where he had sought refuge. 

Reports suggest he altered his identity, contact information, and social media profiles, and even obtained a Sierra Leonean passport.

The fugitive, who changed his name to Kanu Princeton Samuel to avoid detection, was recognized by someone at a nightclub in Sierra Leone. 

He is expected to be extradited back to Nigeria to face charges of murder.
