Investigation Underway After 21-Year-Old Bartender, Brianna Long Fatally Shot in Georgia


Authorities in Georgia are currently conducting an investigation into the tragic shooting that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Brianna Long, who was shot as she was leaving her shift at a bar in Remerton.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday outside The Pier, where Long worked as a bartender. 

The altercation seems to have started outside the bar, leading to gunfire that also affected several bystanders and vehicles in the vicinity. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Long succumbed to her injuries, and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident thus far.

Those with any relevant information have been urged to reach out to the GBI Thomasville Office or the Remerton Police Department. 

Reports indicate that Long, originally from Dallas, Texas, was studying dental hygiene at Valdosta State University, as reported by WCTV. The university expressed their condolences, stating that they are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Brianna Long and offering their thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
