Man Wanted in Connection with Judge's Murder: $10,000 Reward for Information

The United States Marshals Service is offering a substantial $10,000 reward for any information that can lead to the arrest of Pedro Argote, the suspected murderer of Maryland Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson.

In an official statement, the Marshals Service is asking for the public's help in finding the 49-year-old suspect and is putting up a $10,000 reward.

Authorities have labeled Argote as "armed and dangerous."

It's believed that Argote may be driving a silver 2009 Mercedes GL 450 with Maryland license plate 4EH0408.

The suspected killer is accused of murdering Assistant Judge Wilkinson from the Washington County Circuit Court on a Thursday evening.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the 52-year-old judge was discovered dead in his driveway on Olde Waterford Road in Hagerstown with visible gunshot wounds.

Deputies rushed to the scene following reports of a shooting around 8 p.m. on Thursday, and the judge was later pronounced dead at Meritus Medical Center.

Records from the Washington County court indicate that Wilkinson had overseen a judgment hearing related to Argote's divorce case from 2022 on that Thursday. The next hearing was scheduled for October 31.
