Christopher Michael Pruitt: Oregon Pastor Arrested for Alleged Inappropriate Touching of Congregation Members
A pastor in Oregon found himself in trouble with the law for alleged inappropriate touching of two girls in his congregation. Christopher Michael Pruitt, a 39-year-old from Beaverton, faced six counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse in Washington County.
Pruitt was accused of inappropriately touching two young girls who were members of his small congregation at Our Father’s House Ministries Church. Initially, he ran the church from his home in north Beaverton but later relocated it to north Portland, as per the Beaverton Police Department.
Detectives suspect that there might be additional victims and encouraged anyone with relevant information to get in touch with Detective Patrick McNair via email at [email protected] or by phone at 503.526.2261.
Pruitt was arrested on October 5 and was held at the Washington County Jail, where he remained in custody as of Wednesday. Court records revealed that Pruitt had pleaded guilty to public indecency in Multnomah County in 2017, resulting in one year of probation for the Class A misdemeanor.
