California Man with '420' Head Tattoo Arrested for Shocking Decapitation Case

A California man sporting a "420" head tattoo, accused of a gruesome act involving the decapitation of a female relative, has been apprehended in San Francisco by local police.

The 24-year-old suspect, Luis Aroyo-Lopez, was taken into custody at the Transbay Terminal around 7:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning. San Francisco Police officers recognized him as the individual matching the description of a murder suspect sought in Santa Rosa, as reported by KRON.

The arrest follows an intensive search for Aroyo-Lopez, initiated after Santa Rosa Police made a horrifying discovery on Thursday at approximately 3:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of Pomo Trail.

Within a residence, they found the decapitated body of a woman, with her head conspicuously missing. It is believed that Aroyo-Lopez left the gruesome scene on foot, taking the victim's head with him, according to statements from the Santa Rosa Police Department.

As of now, it has not been confirmed whether the victim's head has been recovered since the suspect's arrest. While authorities have established that the victim is a relative of Aroyo-Lopez, the precise nature of their relationship remains unclear.

A photograph of the suspect, revealing his distinct "420" tattoo along with a marijuana leaf on the left side of his head, was circulated by the police after he was identified as a suspect considered "armed and dangerous."

Aroyo-Lopez had recently been released from state prison and was under Postrelease Community Supervision. His previous incarceration stemmed from charges related to assault with a deadly weapon and weapons possession in an unrelated incident.

Further details regarding his arrest are expected to be disclosed by the police.
