Dallas Police Apprehend Alleged Killer, Marco Ramirez in Stolen Truck Confrontation Murder Case

Dallas police have reported a breakthrough in the case of a man shot while confronting thieves who stole his father's truck. Investigators swiftly made an arrest after finding fingerprints on the stolen truck, leading them to 30-year-old Alejandro Deleon.

He's now facing charges for the murder of 24-year-old Marco Ramirez, with three other suspects, two men and a woman, still at large.

Carla Ramirez, the victim's sister, identified Deleon through his mug shot, triggering distressing memories. The incident occurred a week ago in East Dallas when Carla witnessed thieves breaking into her father's truck.

She gave chase, with her brother Marco following in his own vehicle. Confronting the thieves, an exchange of gunfire ensued, resulting in Marco's tragic death.

Surveillance footage captured the chaotic scene, with Carla recalling her attempt to block the thieves. Despite her efforts, the suspects managed to escape, leaving behind a grieving family. Flowers and candles now mark the site of the tragedy.

An arrest warrant affidavit revealed that Deleon's fingerprints matched those found on the stolen truck's hood. Although details of his arrest were not fully disclosed, he was booked into the Dallas County Jail on November 17, three days after the murder.

Expressing the need for justice, Carla emphasized the importance of apprehending all involved suspects. Deleon's criminal history, spanning a decade and including drug possession, multiple vehicle thefts, and aggravated assault, adds a concerning dimension to the case.
