Tragedy struck a Montana family when a one-year-old baby boy, Tatee’K Morrison, lost his life just one day before his first birthday, in a heart-wrenching incident. The child's father, 31-year-old Kenneth Morrison, tragically fell on his son after being fatally shot.
The heart-wrenching incident took place inside their Billings home when unidentified individuals in a pickup truck approached, firing multiple rounds before speeding away. Police arrived at the scene around 10 a.m. on November 1, discovering approximately 25 shell casings of varying calibers scattered in the street.
Chief Rich St. John stated during a press conference that officers received no response when they knocked on the door. They decided to look through the windows, where they encountered a dog that had also been shot and was lying wounded.
Taking action, the officers entered the home forcibly and found Kenneth Morrison's lifeless body on the floor. St. John explained, "Under the deceased, officers found a one-year-old male who was unresponsive. It appears the adult collapsed from his wounds and fell on the child."
Despite immediate medical attention, the young boy could not be saved, and he tragically passed away in the hospital.
Following the shooting, several individuals were taken into custody, but as of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
Zack Wilson, the uncle of Tatee’K, expressed the shock and sadness that has gripped the community, saying, "You don’t think that those things would happen, but so much violence has happened lately." Tatee’K was set to celebrate his first birthday just a day after the tragic incident.
"We just want to celebrate his life and wish him a happy birthday. And we love you,” he shared, emphasizing the love and sorrow that envelops their family. "Just know that we all love you and we miss you already."
