Horrific Tragedy in Daytona Beach: Florida Mother Fatally Stabbed, Apartment Set Ablaze With Children Inside

In Daytona Beach, Florida, authorities are searching for the individual responsible for fatally stabbing a mother and setting her apartment ablaze while her three children were still indoors, tragically leading to the death of a 1-year-old. 

The Daytona Beach Fire Department responded to a late-night fire engulfing the structure, discovering the woman and her children inside. Sadly, the woman succumbed to her injuries, and the 1-year-old suffered cardiac arrest, ultimately passing away despite efforts at the hospital. 

The other two children, aged 4 and 5, were also hospitalized in critical condition.

Police Chief Jakari Young mentioned that the unidentified woman had multiple stab wounds, and the fire seemed intentionally started, prompting the State Fire Marshal's involvement in investigating the incident. 

Young refrained from disclosing any potential suspects as the investigation is in its initial phase.

“This is a horrific incident,” Chief Young expressed. “We are merely days away from a holiday that celebrates family, and facing this tragedy is heart-wrenching.”

Neighbors recounted the distressing sight, with Samantha Stewart witnessing smoke and flames, immediately calling for help and attempting to aid anyone in the building. 

Janet Jones highlighted the long-term impact on the victims' family, expressing sorrow for their irreparable loss.
