Teen, Christopher DeLong Jr. Faces Adult Murder Charge in Fatal Stabbing After Alleged 16-Year-Old Victim Dies in Hospital

A 16-year-old teenager, recently celebrating his 16th birthday, is poised to face adult charges, including second-degree murder, following the tragic death of another 16-year-old boy in Omaha, Nebraska.

Christopher DeLong Jr.'s legal fate is set to be determined at a hearing on December 20, marking a solemn turn of events stemming from a reported fight near the home of victim Clayton McCue's girlfriend.

The altercation escalated to a church parking lot, where McCue was subjected to a brutal attack involving jumping, kicking, and a fatal stabbing to the neck or head on November 8.

McCue was discovered in critical condition at the Living Faith United Methodist Church parking lot and was placed on life support.

Tragically, his organs were donated after succumbing to the injuries. Described as an angel by his grieving mother, McCue's heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver were slated for donation to waiting recipients.

Coincidentally, the day of the incident also marked DeLong's 16th birthday.

Prosecutors, in addition to second-degree murder, are seeking charges for the use of a deadly weapon in committing a felony. DeLong had initially faced charges as an adult for first-degree assault and weapon use during the felony.
