The Washington police need your help in finding a teenager they think is linked to a murder.
On October 16, detectives from the King County Sheriff's Office identified 17-year-old Miguel Rivera Dominguez as a suspect in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Marcel Da’jon Wagner, which happened on October 3 at around 5:10 p.m. while they were both passengers on a Metro Bus.
It seems the two didn't know each other, and the shooting appeared to be completely unprovoked. Wagner was asleep when he was shot, and about 15 other passengers were on the bus at the time.
A spokesperson from the King County Sheriff's Office mentioned that they're actively searching for the suspect, and although Dominguez hasn't been arrested, he's facing charges of first-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
His bail is set at $3 million. Since he's 17, he's being charged as an adult.
According to the sheriff's office press release, deputies responded to reports of a shooting on a Metro bus in the vicinity of SW Roxbury ST and 15th Ave SW. Unfortunately, they found a single victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Despite deploying specialized units, including aerial support and a K9 unit, they couldn't locate the suspect.
Charging documents state that Dominguez, with premeditated intent, shot Marcel D. Wagner without any interaction or provocation. Dominguez has no prior criminal record.
Prosecutor Leesa Manion from King County described Dominguez's actions as methodical, firing shots at point-blank range and later changing clothes to conceal his identity.
Manion called it a "senseless execution of a total stranger" and believes Dominguez poses a threat for potential future violent offenses.
The sheriff's office declared Dominguez as armed and extremely dangerous, stating he has strong ties to the Burien area and often uses public transportation or seeks rides from others, likely wearing a mask to hide his identity in public.
