Arkansas Couple, Benjamin Coney, and Emily Grace Brinley, Caught in Undercover Child Sex Predator Sting

An Arkansas couple is facing serious charges after attempting to meet with a young child for sex online. Benjamin Coney, 26, and Emily Grace Brinley, 25, have been arrested and charged with one count each of internet stalking of a minor and conspiracy to commit rape.

The couple's arrest came after an undercover investigation by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. The investigation began on Nov. 19 when an undercover detective received a message from someone with the username "centralsfinest" on an unidentified social media platform. Law enforcement believe that the username belongs to both Coney and Brinley.

In the messages, the couple allegedly expressed their interest in having sex with a young child. They also allegedly provided the detective with verification photographs of themselves, including a photo of Brinley exposing one of her breasts.

The couple later agreed to meet with the undercover detective. When they arrived at the meeting location, they were arrested. During a search of their vehicle, investigators found two sexual aids, lube, and the receipt for lube.

In separate interviews, the husband and wife allegedly admitted to varying degrees of culpability. Coney allegedly confessed that investigators would find child sexual abuse material on his devices. He also allegedly said that he "could talk a big game on the phone, but he did not think he would actually do anything in real life."

Brinley allegedly confirmed that her role was secondary. She allegedly said that she was "just trying to be a good wife" and that she was "not interested in children."

Both Coney and Brinley are being detained in the Benton County jail on a $200,000 bond. Their arraignments are slated for Jan. 8.
