Three Young Sisters Witness Murder-Suicide of Parents on Christmas, in Houston

A devastating Christmas tragedy unfolded in Houston, Texas, leaving three young sisters without parents after what authorities believe was a murder-suicide. On Monday evening, around 10:15 PM, police responded to a call at a home, finding a heartbreaking scene: a husband and wife deceased in an upstairs bedroom.

The victims, identified only as a 34-year-old woman and her 43-year-old husband, were tragically lost to gunshot wounds. Their identities will be officially confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The most heartbreaking detail - their three daughters, aged 6, 9, and 14, were home during the incident. One daughter bravely told investigators she heard her parents arguing, followed by gunshots. Thankfully, none of the children were physically harmed.

Relatives who arrived shortly after the incident will temporarily care for the orphaned sisters. "We have family members on scene who will likely take them for the night until a more permanent arrangement is made," said Lt. J.P. Horelica.

Investigators recovered what they believe to be the murder weapon, and the investigation continues. However, authorities assure the public that there is no further threat to the community.
