Michigan Couple Dies in Wrong-Way Crash, During a Stolen Truck Chase

A stolen truck's reckless rampage tragically ended the lives of a Michigan couple early Saturday morning. Ryan and Jennifer Ambrosio, 45 and 43 respectively, of Farmington, left behind their loving family after a horrific wrong-way collision. This senseless accident, sparked by a police pursuit, has devastated their six young children, ages 2 to 9.

The pursuit began around 1:30 AM when a 35-year-old suspect swerved his stolen 2006 Ford Super Duty pickup truck towards a patrol car in a parking lot. He then sped onto 8 Mile Road, ignoring officers' attempts to stop him.

During the chase, the suspect made a chilling decision: shutting off his headlights and driving against traffic on the busy M-10 freeway. This deadly gamble resulted in a head-on collision with the Ambrosios' GMC Terrain just past Civic Center Drive. Ryan and Jennifer, beloved parents and community members, passed away at the scene.

Miraculously, both the suspect and his 29-year-old Detroit passenger survived the crash and are currently hospitalized in serious condition.

Michigan State Police, along with their crash reconstruction unit, are thoroughly investigating this incident. The findings will be submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor for potential charges.

The community has rallied around the Ambrosio family in their darkest hour. A GoFundMe campaign raised over $309,000 within days, demonstrating the outpouring of love and support for their six children. Their extended family assures the public that the children will be raised together in a safe and loving environment.

This tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the devastating consequences of reckless driving. It's essential that we prioritize safety on our roads and hold those responsible for such senseless acts accountable.
