Woman Allegedly Stabs Boyfriend in Tennessee Nightmare Over Missed Calls From His Ex

In Tennessee, a 55-year-old woman named Cassandra Collins was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend multiple times in the face. The incident took place after she noticed missed calls from his ex-girlfriend on his phone while he was at her apartment.

Court records from Law&Crime reveal that Collins was charged with felony aggravated assault following the domestic violence episode. The events unfolded at an apartment complex on Madison Avenue in Shelby, with police and medical personnel responding to a domestic call at 3:11 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2024.

Arriving at the fourth-floor apartment, responders found Collins' boyfriend with severe stab wounds. Rushed to Regional One Hospital, he was admitted in critical condition.

The boyfriend recounted that he was at Collins' apartment for a drink and an intimate moment when she suddenly grabbed a butcher knife from the kitchen, attacking him by stabbing his face multiple times and once in the arm.

Police recovered the knife from the apartment, and Collins was taken into custody. She agreed to speak to detectives after being informed of her rights. Collins mentioned inviting her boyfriend over, sharing drinks, and noticing missed calls from his ex-girlfriend on his phone during their time together.

It's not specified whether Collins admitted to stabbing him due to the missed calls.

Following the interrogation, Collins was booked in Shelby County East Jail but was later released without bond. A bond review hearing is scheduled for the following day.
