A nasty surprise awaited a senior citizen in Florida after a woman he met online lured him into a trap with her ex-boyfriend.
According to the police, 34-year-old Chelsea Wright and her 33-year-old ex, Andrew Marks, planned a vicious robbery disguised as a romantic date. The 73-year-old victim, who was injured in the attack, went to the hospital early on Thursday morning and reported what happened.
He told the police that he met Wright at a bar in Daytona Beach for a date and, after things seemed to go well, she invited him back to her place to continue their conversation. He agreed and followed her, not knowing the danger that awaited.
On the way, Wright picked up Marks and dropped him near a house.
When the victim got out of his car at Wright's supposed home, Marks suddenly reappeared and hit him on the head with a metal object, repeatedly striking him until he fell to the ground.
Marks then stole the victim's wallet and escaped with Wright.

The attack left the victim with many injuries, including cuts on his head that needed stitches and a swollen shut eye. After this horrific experience, the police investigated Wright and eventually pulled her over for a traffic violation. They found drugs in her car.
When questioned by the police, Wright lied, claiming an elderly woman with Alzheimer's attacked them. However, detectives discovered text messages between Wright and Marks proving they planned the robbery together, revealing their past relationship.
Marks was arrested shortly after in Holly Hill, facing charges of robbery with a weapon and harming an elderly person. Wright was also arrested on the same charges.
