Mahogany Jackson's Story: Police Arrest Seven in Gruesome Murder Case and are Saying The Assault Was Taped

A young woman named Mahogany Jackson, 20, was tragically murdered in Alabama. The details of the crime were so awful that the police couldn't share everything to respect her family's privacy.

Mahogany's body was found early Monday morning. Someone called the police after seeing her lying on the side of the road. She had been shot and sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The police chief described the case as "horrible and upsetting." He also shared that Mahogany had been sexually assaulted before her death.

Mahogany's family reported her missing on Sunday after receiving a text from her saying she was kidnapped. The text mentioned an apartment number and said "don't call."

The police went to the apartment but couldn't find Mahogany. She had already been taken somewhere else. The police didn't reveal the other locations involved in the case to avoid affecting the court case.

The police chief called Mahogany's murder "one of the worst things I've ever seen." While they haven't figured out why it happened, they said Mahogany knew all seven people who are now arrested for the crime.

The police said the suspects even filmed parts of what they did to Mahogany. These videos are crucial evidence in the investigation.

Four men and three women were arrested and charged with different crimes related to the kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder of Mahogany. They are all being held in jail without bond.

The police started investigating as soon as they received the missing person report. They believe the family and community's help led to the quick arrests.

It's not yet clear if the suspects have been to court or have lawyers.
