Minnesota Woman, Esperanza Harding, Charged with Murder of Infant Son

In Minnesota, a young mother is facing serious charges.

She allegedly drowned her baby in a bathtub and then took a photo of the child’s lifeless body.

Esperanza Rae Harding, just 20 years old, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to her son's death.

Reports indicate that on March 6, Harding arrived at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, saying that her son had died there naturally five days earlier.

However, hospital records showed no such event.

Police spoke to Harding, who reportedly confessed to the horrific act of drowning her son.

She drowned him in a hotel bathtub in Bloomington on February 28, according to the official complaint.

She is accused of putting her baby's body into a backpack and disposing it in the trash after drowning him.

Harding reportedly claimed that she took this extreme action because her boyfriend didn’t want the baby and pressured her to put him up for adoption.

Harding wanted to prove her commitment to her boyfriend by doing so.

On the day she kiled him, Harding reportedly became upset when her son began crying during a bath.

Harding allegedly texted her boyfriend, Edwin Trudeau, telling him what she planned to do.

Trudeau reportedly responded casually and did not stop her.

Police also made another disturbing discovery while they were searching her phone for evidence.

They found a photo showing the baby submerged in the bathtub

The boy's father, Jesús Cazares, shared memories of his son, describing him as joyful and full of life.

He expressed more anger than sadness at the situation.

As of now, the baby's body has not been located, and Cazares just wants to find his son and grant him peace.

FOX9 reports that Trudeau faces charges for helping after the fact.
