Six Individuals Arrested in Relation to Arizona Teen's Fatal Beating Outside Halloween Party

There's finally some progress in the tragic case of a 16-year-old boy named Preston Lord who died after being beaten at a Halloween party in Arizona last year. Police have arrested six people suspected of being involved.

Preston was attacked in October 2023 and sadly passed away in the hospital two days later. This week, police announced they caught several people believed to be responsible.

Four of the suspects - Dominic Turner (20 years old), William Hines (18 years old), Talan Renner (17 years old), and Talyn Vigil (17 years old) - were charged with murder and kidnapping. It's important to note that even though Renner and Vigil are minors, they're being treated as adults in court. Turner also faces a robbery charge.

News outlets reported that two more people were arrested. Taylor Sherman (19 years old) is accused of murder and kidnapping, and another 17-year-old is suspected of murder, kidnapping, and robbery. We're not revealing the name of the younger teen because it's unclear if he'll be charged as an adult.

The police haven't said yet if any of the suspects have lawyers or if they've pleaded guilty or not guilty.

At a press conference, the police chief defended the amount of time it took to make arrests. She explained it was a very complex case with many people involved, including suspects, witnesses, and others who might have some information.

They had to look through thousands of pages of police reports, hundreds of video clips, and a medical examiner's report - all taking a lot of time and effort.

Preston's parents expressed their gratitude to the community for helping with the investigation. They believe the arrests bring them closer to getting justice for their son.
