Samantha Ford Rabon, a 39-year-old woman from South Carolina, is spending the rest of her life behind bars for a chilling crime: orchestrating the murders of her own father 59-year-old Robert Marion Ford, Jr. and half-brother, 25-year-old Robbie Stetson Ford in 2018.
Driven by greed, Rabon hatched a plan to eliminate her family members and claim over $1 million in inheritance. This plot, however, would come crashing down around her thanks to meticulous police work and the courage of a witness.
After a lengthy trial, a jury found Rabon guilty of two counts of murder, each resulting in a life sentence without the possibility of parole. She also received additional years for conspiracy and solicitation to commit murder.
Her accomplice, Randy Grainger (56), was convicted and sentenced to two life terms the previous year. Both individuals faced the harsh hand of justice for their heinous actions.
The story began on August 18th, 2018, in Conway, South Carolina. Police received a call about a deserted car, partly burned, sitting in an open field. It wasn't long before investigators discovered the vehicle belonged to the elder Ford. Following this lead, they headed to his home to investigate further.
Tragically, upon arrival, first responders found both Mr. Ford and his son in the backyard. Both men had been shot and sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
