Human Remains Found Near Dawson Creek Identified as Darylyn Supernant

CJDC TV News has reported that the human remains discovered north of Dawson Creek in April have been identified as those of Darylyn Supernant.

Sources close to the family have confirmed this heartbreaking news.

Darylyn, a 29-year-old resident of Dawson Creek, was reported missing on March 15, 2023.

For weeks, her family and friends held onto hope, but there were no updates on her whereabouts.

This silence was broken on April 19, 2024, when Dawson Creek police announced the discovery of human remains near 219 Road, close to Saskatoon Creek.

The remains were found by a community organization member who was picking up garbage along the roadside.

The grim discovery prompted an investigation, and on June 6th, CJDC TV News reported that the remains were identified as Darylyn Supernant, based on the bones recovered at the scene.

Darylyn's father, Brad Supernant, expressed the family's determination to find her in an interview with CJDC TV News a month after her disappearance.

He vowed, "We will bang on every door and follow every lead until she is found."

During the investigation, Constable Emma Baron of the Dawson Creek police highlighted the challenges faced by the authorities.

She mentioned, "We are aware that Darylyn was involved in a high-risk lifestyle. We don't know if that's directly related to her disappearance at this time."

The pain was more at the end of May when CJDC TV News revealed that the remains of Daralyn's cousin, Renee Didier, were also found in the Kiskatinaw River.

This revelation added another layer of grief and urgency to the ongoing investigations.

The community of Dawson Creek has been rocked by multiple disappearances over the past years.

Three men remain missing: Cole Hosack, who disappeared on New Year's Eve; Dave Domingo, believed to have been murdered after his body was found on a property near Rolla in August 2023; and 14-year-old Denny Poole, who vanished eight years ago and was last seen in 2016 near the Kiskatinaw Bridge.

This is a developing story, and we will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
