Woman Arrested for Allegedly Leaving Infant Alone in Car for Hours While Gambling Inside Casino

A woman was arrested by Catoosa Police and charged with child neglect after allegedly leaving her infant child alone in a car for several hours.

She gambled inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino while her child was alone in the car for over 5 hours.

The incident occurred on May 31 at approximately 3 p.m.

Casino security personnel noticed the infant alone in a parked vehicle and immediately contacted the police.

The car was parked in the casino’s lot under the hot sun, raising concerns about the child's safety.

When police arrived at the scene, they confirmed the presence of the child in the car.

Shortly after, the mother, identified as Dacie Yeager, emerged from the casino.

She initially told officers she had only been inside the casino for about 20 minutes.

However, this claim was quickly debunked.

Surveillance footage from the casino revealed that Yeager had actually been inside for several hours, not minutes as she had claimed.

This evidence led to her immediate arrest.

Yeager was booked into Rogers County jail and faces charges of child neglect.

The child, was fortunately unharmed despite the dangerous situation.

The child has been placed in the care of child welfare services.

Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the child's condition or the ongoing investigation.
