Woman Accused of Killing 6-Year-Old Girl in Louisiana, And Dragging Her Body In A Bucket To Her Mother's House

After more than two months, the authorities are building their case against a woman accused of killing her boyfriend's 6-year-old daughter in a disturbing incident in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

The woman, Bunnak "Hannah" Landon, allegedly put the young girl's body in a large plastic bucket and dragged it to the biological mother's house nearby, where she left the remains in the yard.

During a recent hearing, the authorities provided more details about the tragic event.

The suspect caught on camera dragging the bucket

The lead detective, Anthony Buttone, testified that the victim, Bella Fontenelle, had expressed her discomfort about going to her father's home and mentioned that Landon treated her and her 7-year-old sister badly.

On the evening of the incident, Bella's grandmother dropped them off at their father's house after spending time with him at work. Landon was the only person present with the girls at that time.

The authorities revealed that Bella died from strangulation and blunt force trauma, based on testimony from the chief forensic pathologist at the Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office, Dana Troxclair.

Landon's DNA was found on the bucket containing the victim's remains.

Landon allegedly attempted to hide evidence by burying her phone in a plastic bag near her father's home and searched for defense lawyers on her phone.

However, investigators have not found any specific statements or texts indicating that Landon killed Bella.

Landon Surrendered to the police, and authorities do not consider either biological parent as suspects.

Surveillance footage and phone data confirmed the father's alibi of going straight to bed after returning home from work.

However, there is evidence of a tense family history, as a 2019 police report indicated that the father had threatened to harm the biological mother and the two girls.
