Top Cancer Doctor, Dr. Krystal Cascetta and Her Baby Found Dead in a Suspected Murder-Suicide



A prominent cancer doctor, Dr. Krystal Cascetta, and her baby were discovered dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide at their home in Somers, New York. 

Investigators suspect that Dr. Cascetta entered her child's bedroom and tragically opened fire on the infant before turning the gun on herself. 

The community is shocked by the loss of the esteemed oncologist, who worked at New York City's Mount Sinai Hospital.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is currently looking into the details of the apparent murder-suicide. 


Dr. Krystal Cascetta was well-regarded in her field as an assistant professor of medicine specializing in hematology and medical oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. 

Her dedication to her patients and contributions to clinical care were recognized with awards during her career.
