Attempted Murder at Las Vegas Amazon Warehouse

An incident involving a dispute at an Amazon warehouse in Las Vegas recently made headlines when one individual was accused of attempting to harm a colleague with a box cutter. According to reports from FOX 5 in Las Vegas, Kenneth Durhal was taken into custody by Las Vegas Police on October 13, and he is now facing charges of attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on October 12, as per court documents. The victim and Durhal were having lunch with a group of coworkers when the victim made a joke that upset Durhal. Subsequently, Durhal asked the victim to join him in the locker room for a conversation, during which he allegedly retrieved a box cutter from his locker.

The locker room and bathroom were interconnected, and the argument continued in the bathroom. During this altercation, the victim claimed that Durhal brandished the box cutter and began attacking him, resulting in lacerations to his neck and head. In self-defense, the victim asserted that he pushed Durhal and punched him before Durhal placed him in a headlock and made threats to harm him. A witness reportedly heard Durhal say, "I'm going to end this fool," during the incident.

Bystanders intervened, preventing Durhal from taking the dispute outside and ensuring he remained inside until the police arrived. Investigators obtained video surveillance footage and other evidence, leading to Durhal's arrest at his residence the following day. When questioned by investigators, Durhal denied having a box cutter during the altercation, claiming he had only taken his wallet and phone charger from his locker. The inconsistency in Durhal's statements was duly noted by the police.

Kenneth Durhal is scheduled to appear in Clark County Justice Court for a preliminary hearing on October 31, and he has been ordered to stay away from the victim.
