Man Arrested for Allegedly Using Plane to Stalk New York Woman

A 65-year-old man from New Hampshire found himself in cuffs for allegedly using his small propeller airplane to harass a woman in New York. The guy, Michael Arnold, got nabbed on Tuesday and slapped with charges, including stalking, hindering, fibbing to the cops, and resisting arrest.

His alleged target? Cassie Wilusz.

So, Arnold, living in Manchester, New Hampshire, supposedly used his single-engine Cessna 180 to haunt Wilusz's New York home, according to the Bennington, Vermont Police Department. They mentioned that over the summer, Arnold got hit with a temporary restraining order in Saratoga, New York. One of the restraining order rules was that Arnold had to stop flying any kind of aircraft while it was in effect.

Court documents obtained by Schenectady, New York's CBS affiliate WRGB revealed that the FBI's Albany branch had tipped off the Bennington cops about Arnold's Cessna being parked at William H. Morse State Airport. It all started when Wilusz said she saw Arnold's plane buzzing over her place on September 28. She promptly rang up the FBI, BPD, and the FAA.

The release from the police department stated that officers confirmed Arnold had indeed been flying his plane from William H. Morse State Airport and was last seen flying toward New York a few days earlier. They even had video evidence of him cruising his plane over Wilusz's crib.

Now, here's where it gets even more interesting. Arnold supposedly responded on Wednesday, saying someone else was flying the plane. But he was tight-lipped about who was at the controls.

Arnold was granted his release after posting a $5,000 bond and was slapped with an order to stay at least 300 feet away from his plane. He's pled not guilty to all the charges.
