Teen, Isaiah Greene Sentenced to 50 Years for Murdering Girlfriend, Gabrielle Bolton, After Heated Argument

A teenager who got into a heated argument with his girlfriend in a Florida home ended up being sentenced to 50 years in prison for her murder.

In September 19, 2022, the police found Bolton's lifeless body in a home on West 33rd Street in Jacksonville. Responding to a call from Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, they discovered a grim scene with signs of foul play. A Black male had fled the scene, and the deceased female, identified as Gabrielle Bolton, was in the back bedroom.

The young man involved was Isaiah Greene, who lived at the same address with Bolton, his girlfriend, as confirmed by Greene's mother.

On that fateful morning, Greene called his mother around 7:30 AM, expressing frustration about Bolton allegedly lying and cheating on him, saying, 'She’s lying and cheating on me,' and 'I didn't mean to do it.' He even hinted at suicidal thoughts.

The landlord, who had been renting a room to the couple for about 3½ weeks, received a message from Greene at 9:25 AM, instructing him not to bring anyone to the house that day. When the landlord arrived at the house, Greene was outside with his mother, engaged in conversation. Later, Greene mentioned that he didn't know what happened and suggested that Bolton may have slipped and fallen.

When emergency services were called, Greene fled but was eventually apprehended by the police.

During questioning, Greene admitted to dating Bolton for about a year and described their relationship as physically and mentally abusive. He mentioned that their argument that day revolved around Bolton being on FaceTime with an unknown male. However, the details of what transpired next were redacted in the affidavit.

Bolton's family was devastated by the tragedy. They held a vigil to remember her, a young woman with dreams of joining the military and becoming a District Attorney. Her mother fondly remembered her as strong-willed and intelligent, someone who never hesitated to speak her mind, whether it was good or bad."
