Florida Car Burglary Suspect, Timothy Allen Hogue, identified By a 'all gas, no brakes' Tattoo, Captured After a High-Speed Collision
In the early hours at Preservation Pointe neighborhood in the Davenport area, a White male and a White female, suspected of serial car burglaries, attracted law enforcement attention.
Responding to reports of attempted break-ins, a deputy tried to stop the suspects' white 2006 Cadillac CTS. The suspects evaded, speeding through the residential streets, narrowly avoiding capture.
In a twist of fate, their attempt to escape led to a high-speed collision with a parked vehicle. The Polk County Sheriff's Office, quick to the scene, apprehended the suspects from the disabled Cadillac. Miraculously, no innocent bystanders were harmed.
The irony was not lost when law enforcement observed a neck tattoo on the driver, 37-year-old Timothy Allen Hogue, proclaiming "all gas, no brakes."
Subsequent investigations revealed that Hogue confessed to the burglaries, attributing the idea to 31-year-old Rebecca Kozub. Hogue's explanation for the chaotic escape was that he "just freaked out." Both suspects were hospitalized for crash-related injuries.
Timothy Allen Hogue now faces a slew of charges, including second-degree burglary, fleeing to elude, and possession of illegal substances.
With a substantial criminal history, Hogue's past includes 31 felonies and 18 misdemeanors. Meanwhile, Rebecca Kozub remains in the hospital with pending charges, having suffered a fractured leg in the crash.
