California Woman Disappears, Rocker Boyfriend Named as Person of Interest in Investigation

A 61-year-old woman named Alice “Alyx” Kamakaokalani Herrmann from Santa Cruz, California, has been missing since December 3rd.

Authorities from the El Cerrito Police Department are intensively investigating her disappearance, focusing on her boyfriend, Theo Brooks Lengyel, a former member of the experimental rock band Mr. Bungle.

Herrmann’s relatives reported her disappearance after not hearing from her for over a week. Investigators discovered her car parked outside Lengyel’s residence in El Cerrito, and they consider him a person of interest due to his lack of cooperation with the investigation.

Lengyel, aged 54, is suspected of driving from El Cerrito to Portland, Oregon, shortly after Herrmann went missing. Both their vehicles are now in police custody, and joint efforts between El Cerrito and Portland police departments are ongoing to trace their movements.

Authorities are urging residents in the area, particularly those in regional parks and open spaces, to report any suspicious findings that could aid in locating Herrmann.

Description-wise, Herrmann is a 5 feet 4 inches tall Pacific Islander, weighing 135 lbs, with hazel eyes and brown hair. Lengyel, on the other hand, is a 5 feet 10 inches tall white man, weighing 170 lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair. Lengyel, also known as “Mylo Stone,” played saxophone, clarinet, and keyboards for Mr. Bungle from 1985 to 1996 before leaving the band.
