Man Accused in Washington Murders Allegedly Lured Victims with Gold Hunt in The Woods, Before Killing Them

A man from Washington, Richard Bradley Jr., previously charged with one murder, now faces three more murder counts, with prosecutors alleging he enticed victims by seeking their help in finding gold.

In 2021, Bradley was charged with the murder of Brandi Blake, whose buried body was discovered in a park in Auburn, Washington. Additional evidence found nearby, including three rib bones, linked to Emilio Maturin, missing since 2019, led to charges related to his murder.

Further charges emerged, implicating Bradley in the shooting deaths of Michael Goeman and Vance Lakey, whose bodies were found in another Auburn park.

Prosecutors claim Bradley lured victims to wooded areas under the guise of gold excavation, purportedly killing them and disposing of their bodies. Allegations suggest Bradley would drive the victims' vehicles post their disappearance.

One account detailed Maturin's girlfriend reporting his disappearance and tracking his cell phone to the park where his remains were later discovered. She disclosed hearing Bradley discussing gold excavation with Maturin before his disappearance.

Investigations unveiled Bradley's prior arrest in 2019 for eluding law enforcement in connection with an unregistered BMW suspected of carrying a significant quantity of heroin.

During a recent arraignment, Bradley entered a plea of not guilty and remains incarcerated without bail, with his trial for Blake's death set for January.
