Miami Woman, Destiny Lenai Johnson Accused of Setting Tinder Date on Fire


A woman in Miami, Florida is facing serious criminal charges after allegedly setting her Tinder date on fire. According to police reports, 25-year-old Destiny Lenai Johnson was arrested on November 25th for attempted murder, arson, and aggravated battery.

The incident reportedly occurred outside a Holiday Inn Express hotel in Kendall, Florida. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, claims that Johnson became enraged during their meeting and set him and his car on fire. 

Johnson allegedly approached the victim's car carrying a container of what appeared to be gasoline. After asking the victim for money, she began yelling and then poured the liquid into the car, setting it ablaze with a lighter. The flames reportedly injured both Johnson and the victim. 

The victim managed to escape the burning car and sought help at the hotel's front desk. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his burns. Johnson, who allegedly fled the scene, was found by police several hours later. She was also treated for burn injuries.

Johnson is currently being held in custody at the Miami-Dade County jail. She is scheduled to appear in court again on December 18th.
