Rapper Rich the Kid, whose real name is Dimitri Roger, was arrested early Monday morning in Miami Beach, Florida. 31-year-old Roger was booked on charges of resisting an officer without violence and trespassing after a warning.
According to police reports, officers were responding to a bomb threat when they encountered Roger approaching a taped-off area. He informed them he needed to get to his hotel, but was advised by an officer not to cross the tape due to the ongoing investigation.
Roger allegedly ignored the officer's instructions, stating he would be out on bond within 20 minutes and walking away.
The police report further details how Roger went under the police tape even after being told not to, walked away from officers, and then went around the back of the property.
Security personnel informed him he wasn't allowed there, but Roger reportedly told them to "stop him" before jumping the fence onto the property. He then entered the hotel building during a K-9 unit sweep.
Despite being ordered to leave, Roger reportedly lingered, leading to his arrest and transport to the Miami Beach Police Department for processing.
This isn't the first time Rich the Kid has found himself in trouble with the law. Back in February 2019, he was robbed and shot at outside a recording studio in West Hollywood, California. While details are scarce, reports indicate multiple victims were assaulted and robbed by unidentified suspects.
Following the incident, Roger was seen speaking to police, and TMZ confirmed he was targeted. The altercation resulted in an exchange of gunfire, though the shooter remains unknown.
