A Riverside, California pastor is facing serious charges after being arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill his daughter's boyfriend.
According to a press release from the Riverside County Police Department, 47-year-old Samuel Pasillas was arrested on March 13, 2024, for solicitation for murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon.
The incident occurred on the evening of October 21, 2023, when an unidentified male victim was shot multiple times while driving on Grove Community Drive in Riverside.
The victim, who has since recovered from his injuries, reported the shooting to the police.
Investigators discovered that the victim was dating Pasillas' daughter.
Through their investigation, police uncovered evidence suggesting Pasillas met with individuals and offered them money to kill the victim.
The press release states that Pasillas provided the individuals with information about the victim, including his location on the night of the shooting.
Additionally, investigators believe Pasillas paid the individuals nearly $40,000 and that they had been following the victim in the weeks leading up to the shooting.

Search warrants were executed at multiple locations in California connected to the crime.
Pasillas is currently being held on a $1 million bond at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
One of the alleged hitmen, 55-year-old Juan Manuel Cebreros, was also arrested and faces similar charges. He is also being held on a $1 million bond at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
The investigation remains ongoing, and it is unclear if additional arrests will be made.
