A woman in Ohio is facing life in prison after admitting to a shocking murder and a desperate cover-up attempt.
Deborah Frazier, 36, shot her boyfriend, Thomas Waddell, in the back of the head and then tried to frame it as a home invasion.
Frazier had been dating Waddell, an older man, for several years.
They lived together and seemed happy, with Valentine's Day cards and shared cookbooks filling their home.
However, Frazier was also seeing another man, John Anderson.
Prosecutors believe Frazier wanted Waddell's money.
In the days leading up to the murder, she made suspicious Google searches like "how to load a gun" and "worst place to get shot in the head."
She also convinced John to pretend to be a bank representative on the phone with Waddell, possibly draining their shared account.
On August 9th, 2023, Frazier shot Waddell and wrapped his body in trash bags.
To make it look like a robbery, she ransacked the house, tore up pictures of them together, and shot herself in the leg.
Then, she called 911, pretending two masked men had broken in and shot her too.

The police weren't convinced.
The staged scene was sloppy, and there was no sign of forced entry.
Plus, an investigation revealed inconsistencies in Frazier's story.
The murder weapon, Waddell's own gun, only had two bullets fired: one that killed him and the one that "shot" Frazier (in the leg).
A search of Frazier's phone revealed even more incriminating evidence.
The suspicious Google searches, along with a lone glove found in her backpack containing both gunshot residue and her DNA, painted a clear picture.
Frazier also had a history of making false police reports.
The authorities believe she manipulated everyone around her, including John, with her lies.
Frazier pleaded guilty to murder, tampering with evidence, and abusing a corpse.
She'll spend the rest of her life behind bars for her cruel act.
