It all started on August, 20, 2025, when the Reynoldsburg police received an anonymous report.
The tipster claimed a young girl had been trafficked from North Carolina to Ohio and was being sexually abused.
According to Abc6onyourside.com, the report specifically alleged that the child "had been sold to the male who now had possession of her - but not any legal rights."
Detectives quickly located the 7-year-old victim at a home on Allegro Drive. In a heartbreaking interview, the child reportedly told the police that she was sold to Sisk by her own mother.
According to the court documents, the child said her mother gave her to "Dan, my dad, to have sex." She also said that Sisk "humped" her and that it happened every day as she slept in his bedroom.
Additionally, the 7-year-old victim told detectives she knew she wasn’t supposed to tell anyone because things would "go wrong."
The child’s grandmother, who is her legal guardian, told police that the girl's mother had picked her up on July 13, 2025 and never returned her.
A woman living with Sisk and three other children told investigators she knew the child was sleeping in Sisk's bed and "thought it was weird."
However, she said she saw Sisk as a father figure to the girl and was aware the child had said Sisk "humped" her.

When Sisk was questioned after his arrest, he allegedly told police that the victim had been with him for two months and a week.
Sisk admitted to detectives that the girl used to sleep in his bed but claimed it stopped when he "thought better of it." Disturbingly, he also confirmed that he bathed the victim even though she was a 7-year-old girl.
The was case recently moved from Licking County to Franklin County as new court documents show that the offense happened in the 7300 block of Serenoa Drive, which falls under Franklin County's jurisdiction.
However, authorities have not provided detailed reasons for the change, as per Abc6onyourside News.
Daniel Sisk now faces criminal charges including one count of gross sexual imposition, and his next court date has not yet been announced.
