Kristina Chambers: Texas Woman Found Guilty After She Claimed Louboutin Heels Caused Fatal Porsche Crash That Killed Man on First Date
In Houston, Texas, a 34-year-old woman has been found guilty after she crashed her car into a man who had just finished a first date, killing him instantly.
According to the Houston Police Department, the incident happened on April 19, 2023.
Kristina Chambers was reportedly driving her blue Porsche 911 Carrera at nearly 70 miles per hour along Allen Parkway near Voodoo Doughnut.
Investigators said Chambers failed to maintain her lane because of the high speed, so she struck a curb, and then lost control of the vehicle.
Tragically, the Porsche veered off the road and went into the sidewalk, hitting 33-year-old Joseph McMullin, before crashing into a utility pole.
McMullin was thrown about 30 feet into the air and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Chambers and two passengers inside her car were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, and luckily, they were fine.

During her trial, which began on October 16, 2025, prosecutors alleged that Chambers was heavily intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Assistant District Attorney Andrew Figliuzzi told jurors that Chambers had spent the evening drinking at multiple bars and using cocaine. He claimed she consumed “at least six alcoholic beverages” before getting behind the wheel.
According to the Houston Chronicle, officers later found small bags of cocaine in her purse and in the car’s back seat, as per PEOPLE.
Also, tests showed that Chambers had a blood alcohol level of .301, almost four times the legal limit.
Additionally, prosecutors also alleged that Chambers was speeding because “she was itching to show off her sports car.”

Meanwhile, Chambers’ defense attorney, Mark Thiessen, argued that the collision was a “freak accident,” not the result of reckless behavior.
Thiessen told the jury that Chambers’ Christian Louboutin high heels became stuck on the gas pedal, causing her to lose control of the vehicle.
He also claimed the curve on Allen Parkway was a major factor, describing it as “one of Houston’s most dangerous bends.”
Despite her defense, on October, 23, 2025, Chambers was found guilty to second-degree manslaughter, and she now faces between two and twenty years in prison.
McMullin’s family has filed a civil lawsuit against Chambers, seeking $1 million in damages, according to online court records.
His date, Briana Iturrino, told news reporters that McMullin was “a good guy taken too soon.”
