On April 7, 2026, a 52-year-old man, Francis Biegaj was shot and killed following a dispute with his neighbor over loud music.
The incident happened at 89 Gillian Circle in Spring Hill, Florida, and the suspected shooter, fifty-one-year-old Tony Deuser, was arrested the same day.
That day, a family member called 911 after finding Biegaj bleeding from his arm in his home, as per CBS News.
When Hernando County Fire Rescue arrived, they provided life-saving measures at the scene before Biegaj was taken to a hospital, but sadly, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
During an investigation, detectives discovered that Biegaj’s had a gunshot wound to his left shoulder, and they also found shell casings in the driveway.
This led detectives to suspect foul play and soon they identified Deuser as the suspect and surrounded his home.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact anyone inside, a SWAT team and Crisis Response Team arrived.
However, Deuser exited the residence following law enforcement announcements and was taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, Deuser told investigators he became upset with his neighbor, because Biegaj refused to lower the volume of his music.
According to Deuser, Biegaj also told him to leave the property, so he got upset and then shot Biegaj twice.
A witness had reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a man walk away from Biegaj’s home toward a nearby residence while holding what appeared to be a pistol.
Deuser was charged with second-degree murder, as reported by KOMO News.
He is being held without bond at the Hernando County Detention Center, while the investigation remains ongoing. For updates on this case and other high-profile true crime stories, sign up for our free newsletter here.
