From Vacation to Incarceration: Social media Influencer Facing Jail Time in Dubai After An Altercation With A Car Rental Employee

The mother of a 29-year-old social media influencer, Tierra Allen, is desperately seeking help as she claims her daughter is facing the possibility of jail time in Dubai after a public altercation. 

Known for her popular "Sassy Trucker" accounts on TikTok and YouTube, Tierra documents her life as a female truck driver.

During her vacation in Dubai, Tierra was involved in a minor car accident with a rental vehicle, leading to a heated argument with a car rental employee. 

Dubai, being part of the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), has stricter decency and morality laws compared to the U.S., and tourists, especially Americans, are cautioned to be mindful of local regulations.

According to Tierra's mother, Tina Baxter, when Tierra went to retrieve her ID and personal belongings from the car rental company, she was met with an aggressive and demanding employee who insisted on an undisclosed amount of money. 

The situation escalated, and Tierra raised her voice in response. 

This led to her arrest by a member of Dubai's police force.

Tina Baxter reached out to "Detained in Dubai," an organization offering legal consultation for U.A.E. law violations, to seek assistance in her daughter's case. 

The organization has contacted Texas political representatives, including Sen. Ted Cruz, to work with the U.S. consulate to prevent Tierra from facing imprisonment.

The charges against Tierra involve shouting, considered offensive behavior under U.A.E. laws, potentially resulting in up to two years of imprisonment. The U.S. Embassy and consulate in the U.A.E. have yet to comment on the case due to privacy concerns.

Tierra's family is desperately hoping for her safe return to the U.S. and back to her regular life. The situation has caused immense stress to Tierra, who simply wishes to be free and return home.
