In a heartbreaking incident, a French daredevil known for scaling skyscrapers worldwide tragically lost his life in Hong Kong.
Remi Lucidi, aged 30, fell from the 68th floor of the Tregunter Tower complex, after he reportedly got trapped outside a penthouse.
Investigators revealed that Lucidi arrived at the building in the evening, claiming to visit a friend on the 40th floor.
However, he made his way to a higher floor and, according to South China Morning Post, he found himself stranded outside. He then desperately sought assistance by knocking on a window, scaring a maid who was inside.
Tragically, he lost his footing and fell, succumbing to the fall instantly.
His sports camera was found at the scene, containing videos of his extreme sports ventures. The cause of his death is yet to be officially disclosed by the Hong Kong police.
Lucid on a skyscraper
Lucidi had been staying at a hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The hostel owner, Gurjit Kaur, expressed deep sadness and described him as "healthy, fit, and happy-faced."
Before the tragic incident, Lucidi shared a photograph of the Hong Kong skyline on his Instagram profile, reflecting his daring spirit.
His social media page revealed his passion for attempting stunts in different parts of the world, from Bulgaria and Portugal to France, Ukraine, and Dubai.
His journey as a skyscraper daredevil began in 2016, and since then, he traveled the world to take on various thrilling challenges.
