Authorities have arrested a suspect in relation to the fatal stabbing of Nigerian student Ifeanyichukwu Oseke, in Canada
Oseke, 28, was attacked and stabbed during a confrontation in a parking lot in Scarborough on June 25, 2023, ultimately succumbing to his injuries in the hospital.
Following the incident, a search was launched for a male suspect who was observed fleeing the scene in a dark-colored sedan, driving south on Brimley Road.
The Suspect
On July 1, the police provided an update on the ongoing investigation, identifying Tamar Cupid, a 25-year-old resident of Toronto, as the wanted suspect linked to the deadly stabbing.
A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Cupid's arrest on charges of second-degree murder.
The Victim
Subsequently, on the same day, Cupid was apprehended and charged after hours of the warrant being in effect.
He made an appearance at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Sunday.
