The recent DNA testing of human remains discovered in rural Meriwether County, Georgia, has provided the confirmation.
Olivia was last seen alive in August 2021, wearing flip-flops, a tie-dye shirt, and shorts. Her personal belongings were left behind, raising concerns about her well-being.
The investigation took a significant turn in December 2022 when authorities received a tip that led them to the discovery of human remains.
DNA testing later confirmed that the remains belonged to Olivia Fowler.
The Meriwether County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the FBI, has been actively working on the case, but there is still more evidence to be analyzed and processed.
Sheriff Chuck Smith emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and has now shifted from a missing person case to a death investigation.
The family has requested privacy and support during this difficult time as they mourn the loss of Olivia, who was not only a mother but also a beloved daughter, sister, and grandchild.
Let us respect their wishes and offer our condolences.
