Heartbreak as Accused in 4-Year-Old's Murder Walks Free After Confessing To The Heinous Crime: Victim's Family Struggle for Justice
The family of Bokgabo Poo were left devastated as the justice system disappointed them, allowing the man accused of the murder of their 4-year-old to go free.
Ntokozo Zikhali, who was accused of kidnapping, raping, and killing the young girl, was acquitted of all charges on August 7th, leaving Bokgabo's family devastated.
The tragic incident occurred when Bokgabo went missing while playing in a park in Watville, Benoni, in October 2022.
Her disappearance was reported to her family by a little boy who was playing in the same park with the victim.
The boy said a stranger, identified as Zikhali, approached them, and told him to go to a shop alone and buy sweets.
Upon the boy's return, both Bokgabo and the stranger were nowhere to be found.
The next day, a grim discovery was made when Bokgabo's leg was found in a shallow grave in Tamboville.
Her dismembered body parts were discovered in two locations, some of which had been burnt.
The heartbreak for the family has now deepened as Ntokozo Zikhali, the accused, has now been acquitted due to insufficient evidence linking him to the crime.
Bokgabo's father, Irvin Ndlovu, expressed his disappointment with the court's ruling and pledged to continue seeking justice for his daughter's tragic fate.
He questioned the decision, especially considering the accused had confessed to the crime and had been captured on footage leaving with the young child.
Bokgabo Poo went missing on October 10, 2022. Parts of her raped and mutilated body were found in 2 different locations the following day. The man accused of this heinous crime, Ntokozo Zikhali, who confessed to kidnapping the 4-year-old, is a free man.

Almost a year later, the family remains far from finding closure and healing from the brutal loss of their daughter.
Despite the pain, Ndlovu remains determined to keep fighting for justice and for the memory of Bokgabo.
