Instagram Horror: Bodybuilder Live-Streams The Murder Of His Ex-wife On Instagram, Then Goes On A Shooting Spree
A bodybuilder from Bosnia tragically live-streamed the murder of his ex-wife on Instagram.
After the murder, he embarked on a violent shooting spree that resulted in the deaths of two more individuals, including himself.
The individual, known as Nermin Sulejmanovic, shared a deeply disturbing video on Instagram in the morning of August 11, where he informed viewers that they were about to witness a live murder.
The video showed him using a firearm to fatally shoot a woman in the forehead, while the cries of their baby daughter could be heard in the background.
Sulejmanovic, aged 35, revealed that he had spared the life of the infant.
Later, he said, "I warned everyone that it would come to this. She has been hiding my child for eight days. I'm waiting to load my weapon and move on."
Local media sources indicated that Sulejmanovic worked as a fitness coach, but he was also associated with a criminal gang and had been convicted multiple times for violent acts, brawls, and involvement in drug trafficking.
As law enforcement initiated a search for him following the live-streamed murder, Sulejmanovic posted another video on Instagram, asserting that he had shot at least two more people while evading capture.
A police statement from the town of Tuzla in northeastern Bosnia reported that three individuals were killed, while three others sustained injuries.
The statement revealed that the killer "committed suicide after being located and before being arrested."
Although authorities did not immediately provide further details about the motives or circumstances surrounding the shootings, they mentioned that individuals who had shown support through comments on the perpetrator's Instagram posts might be questioned and face potential legal consequences.
Nermin Niksic, the Prime Minister of the Bosnian Federation, expressed his shock at the tragic events, stating, "I have no words to describe what happened today in Gradacac. The murderer took his own life in the end, but no one can bring back the lives of the victims."
Authorities are yet to disclose additional information regarding the incident or possible motivations behind the shootings.
