Pregnant Woman, Busisiwe Ngubo Among Four Women Brutally Killed in KwaZulu-Natal in a Series of Violent Attacks
In a tragic series of events that unfolded in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, four women, including 35-year-old pregnant Busisiwe Ngubo, were brutally killed in separate incidents.
Ngubo, carrying twins, was discovered lifeless not far from her home in the Ehlanzeni area of Ubuhlebezwe local municipality on August 14, 2023.
She was just a day away from delivering her twins on August 15, 2023.
Nonhlanhla Khoza, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial social development MEC, confirmed this heart-wrenching incident in a statement on Tuesday.
According to Khoza, Ngubo left her home after receiving a call from her boyfriend, a police officer. Sadly, she was strangled and her body left on the roadside.
Khoza expressed the deep sadness brought about by this act of violence, especially considering Ngubo was on the verge of giving birth.
Khoza conveyed her deepest sympathies to Ngubo's family and friends, acknowledging the immense grief they are enduring.
She fervently called on law enforcement agencies to swiftly and thoroughly investigate this appalling crime, demanding justice for Ngubo's untimely and tragic end.
Furthermore, Khoza emphasized the critical need to combat violence against women, especially within intimate relationships.
