Possible Homicide Uncovered: California Mother Uncovers Body in Son's Room While Investigating A Gas Leak In Their Home



In California, a woman made a disturbing finding that raised suspicions regarding her son's possible connection to a potential homicide, as stated by authorities in Los Angeles County.

According to authorities, a distress call was received at 1:13 a.m. on Sunday from the 2200 block of Wall Street, reporting a possible homicide. 

Police shared that a mother went to her son's room due to a strong "gas smell." However, upon entering the room, she stumbled upon the body of a woman wrapped in plastic.


Homicide detectives have launched an investigation into the incident. They are actively searching for a 26-year-old Hispanic man, considered the suspect. 

While the investigation is ongoing, the police have not disclosed the suspect's name, provided a detailed description, shared a photograph, or presented any other evidence linking him to the crime.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Hannah Rachel Collins, aged 30. 

However, details about the circumstances of her death, including the cause and manner, are still awaiting determination.


At this point, law enforcement has not disclosed information about the possible cause of death, how the victim ended up in the residence, or whether there was any prior connection between her and the suspect.
