A man is facing murder charges following the tragic discovery of a deceased woman in her Beeston apartment. The grim incident unfolded when law enforcement officers responded to an address in County Close on Monday, September 25, where they made the grim discovery.
On Tuesday, September 26, a 50-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of murder. The individual in question, Anthony Green, residing at County Close in Beeston, has since been formally charged with the murder of 46-year-old Ruth Hufton, who also lived in County Close.
Anthony Green is scheduled to make his appearance at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today, on Saturday, September 30.
During this deeply distressing period, Ruth's family is receiving support from specially trained officers and has requested privacy.
Detective Inspector Kaz Smithson, leading the investigation, expressed their condolences, stating, "First and foremost, our thoughts go out to the woman's family and friends during this incredibly distressing time."
