Breakthrough Discovery: Suzanne Morphew's Remains Found After Three Years of Missing

In a surprising turn of events, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation stumbled upon human remains that have been identified as Suzanne Morphew, a 49-year-old woman who had been missing since Mother's Day in 2020.

This discovery occurred as CBI agents were conducting a search in Moffat, Saguache County, related to a different case.

The El Paso County Coroner officially confirmed the identity of the remains as belonging to Suzanne Morphew, according to a press release from the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office. The specific location of the remains has not been disclosed, and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the discovery.

Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze expressed the significance of finding Suzanne Morphew's body in the ongoing investigation. However, he also noted that many unanswered questions still surround the case.

Suzanne Morphew disappeared while on a bicycle ride on May 10, 2020. Although her bicycle was located, she was nowhere to be found.

Initially, her husband, Barry Morphew, faced murder charges in connection with her disappearance. Still, those charges were dropped following criticisms from Judge Ramsey Lama regarding protocol violations and evidence issues.

The case took a complex turn when "unknown male DNA" was discovered on various items at the crime scene, with no match to Barry Morphew or other investigative personnel. Instead, the DNA partially matched DNA found in three unsolved sexual assault cases in different states.

Suzanne Morphew's text messages to a friend before her disappearance hinted at her concerns about her husband's behavior and the impact on their daughters. Prosecutors chose to drop their case without prejudice, leaving the possibility of refiling charges against Barry Morphew in the future.

The discovery of Suzanne Morphew's body in Moffat, approximately 75 miles south of Chaffee County, raises questions about which district will prosecute the case, and District Attorney Anne Kelly has been notified of the development.

In another shocking turn of events, a recent incident involving Cher, aged 77, has raised eyebrows. Allegations have surfaced that she hired four individuals to abduct her own adult son, Elijah Blue Allman, 47, from a New York hotel room. See detailed story here
